1. Introduction

Welcome to CCETSchools.

These Terms of Service and User Agreement (“Agreement”) govern your access to and use of the CCETSchools platform, website, applications, and related services (collectively referred to as the “Platform” or “Services”) provided by CCETSchools (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

CCETSchools is a cloud-based school management software solution designed to help educational institutions manage their administrative processes, student information, staff records, communications, billing, and online presence.

By registering, accessing, or using CCETSchools, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Definitions

For the purpose of this Agreement:

• “Platform” means the CCETSchools software, website, dashboards, portals, and tools.
• “User” means any individual or organization accessing the Platform.
• “School” means an educational institution registered on CCETSchools.
• “Administrator” means authorized personnel managing a School’s account.
• “Data” means all information uploaded, stored, or processed on the Platform.
• “Subscription” means any paid or free plan used to access the Services.
• “Content” means text, images, records, files, and materials uploaded by Users.

3. Eligibility

To use CCETSchools:

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must be legally authorized to represent your institution or organization.
• You must provide accurate and truthful registration details.
• By using the Platform on behalf of a School, you confirm that you have authority to bind that institution to this Agreement.

4. Description of Services

CCETSchools provides digital tools including but not limited to:

• School portal creation
• Website hosting
• Student and staff record management
• Academic tracking
• Communication tools
• Reporting and analytics
• Billing and payment features
• Administrative dashboards
• Data storage and cloud hosting

We may improve, modify, add, or remove features at any time to enhance the Platform. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or uninterrupted.

5. Account Registration and Security

Users must create an account to access the Services. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Maintain up-to-date details
• Keep login credentials confidential
• Prevent unauthorized access
• Notify us immediately of any security breach

You are fully responsible for all activities conducted under your account. CCETSchools is not liable for losses caused by unauthorized use resulting from your failure to secure your credentials.

6. Subscription Plans and Payments

6.1 Free Trial

CCETSchools may offer a free trial period during which Schools can use the Platform without charges. During the trial:

• Student limits may not apply
• Fees are not calculated

After the trial ends: Billing begins automatically based on active student count or selected plan.

6.2 Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions:

• Are billed periodically (monthly or annually)
• Are based on usage, features, or student numbers
• Must be paid on time

Failure to pay may result in:

• Account restrictions
• Suspension
• Termination
• Data access limitations

6.3 Refund Policy

Except where required by law:

• Payments are non-refundable
• Partial usage periods are not refunded

6.4 Pricing Changes

We reserve the right to adjust pricing with prior notice. Continued use after price updates indicates acceptance.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Platform for illegal activities
• Upload false or misleading information
• Attempt to hack or disrupt the system
• Upload malware or harmful code
• Interfere with other users
• Resell or exploit the Platform without permission
• Violate any local or international law

Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination.

8. Data Ownership

Schools retain full ownership of their data. This includes:

• Student records
• Staff information
• Uploaded documents
• Reports
• Content created by the School

CCETSchools does NOT claim ownership of your institutional data. However, you grant us permission to process and store this data solely to provide the Services.

9. Data Privacy and Protection

We are committed to protecting your information.

CCETSchools implements:

• Secure cloud hosting
• Encryption practices
• Controlled access
• Industry-standard safeguards

However, no system is 100% secure. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that:

• Internet-based services carry risks
• Absolute security cannot be guaranteed

Schools are responsible for:

• Obtaining parental/student consent where required
• Complying with applicable data protection laws
• Protecting sensitive information

10. Intellectual Property

All rights, titles, and interests in the Platform belong to CCETSchools. This includes:

• Software
• Designs
• Logos
• Code
• Branding
• Features
• Documentation

You may not:

• Copy
• Reverse engineer
• Modify
• Redistribute
• Sell

Without written permission. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the Platform during your subscription.

11. Service Availability

We aim for high reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Downtime may occur due to:

• Maintenance
• Server issues
• Updates
• Third-party failures
• Force majeure events

We are not liable for losses caused by temporary interruptions.

12. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate with third-party providers such as:

• Payment processors
• Hosting services
• Communication tools

We are not responsible for:

• Their policies
• Their failures
• Their security breaches

Use of such services is subject to their terms.

13. User Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all content uploaded. You confirm that:

• You have the right to upload it
• It does not violate laws
• It does not infringe copyrights
• It is not harmful or unlawful

We reserve the right to remove inappropriate content.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

CCETSchools shall NOT be liable for:

• Loss of profits
• Data loss
• Business interruption
• Indirect damages
• Incidental damages
• Consequential damages

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the User in the last 12 months.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CCETSchools against claims arising from:

• Your misuse of the Platform
• Violation of this Agreement
• Breach of laws
• Third-party disputes related to your data

16. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts if:

• Terms are violated
• Payments are overdue
• Fraudulent activity is detected
• Security risks arise

Users may cancel at any time. Upon termination:

• Access is revoked
• Data may be deleted after a retention period
• No refunds apply

17. Data Retention and Deletion

After account closure:

• Data may be retained temporarily for backup or compliance
• After retention, data may be permanently deleted

Users should export data before cancellation.

18. Updates and Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified via:

• Email
• Dashboard notice
• Website posting

Continued use equals acceptance of updated terms.

19. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to protect confidential information shared during use of the Platform and not disclose it without authorization.

20. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control including:

• Natural disasters
• Government actions
• Internet outages
• Power failures
• Strikes

21. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any disputes shall be resolved in Nigerian courts.

22. Severability

If any provision is deemed invalid, remaining provisions remain enforceable.

23. Entire Agreement

This document constitutes the entire agreement between Users and CCETSchools and supersedes all prior communications.
